Every picture is a complex network of personal fantasies rendered as organic-ornamental illustrations. In portraying personified animals and toys, for example, I interpret my affective world allegorically with references to landscape and to the three dimensional effects of figurative representation. Geometrics elements are used to fragment and structure plastic space in a two-dimensional plane and introduce flat spaces. The bizarre junction of these two languages allows the fundamental objective of my work to emerge: to pluck common, everyday elements from mass media and popular culture, to confer on them the leading role, give them new meaning and transform them into a personal codice. My actual body of work is motivated as much by plastic as by symbolic sensibilities. My sense of irony also directs color choices and composition, allowing me to play on the surface without thematic limitations and stimulating me to combine esthetic languages that would otherwise be incomprehensible to each other.
